On the weekends my family and I usually go to Echo Park for a walk to enjoy the weather, the dogs and the crazy ducks haha…

I’ve seen the Alebrije mobile shop but this time I decided to stop by and take a quick look, I was impress by the owner Alex Miguel Calderon, a Mexican men from Oaxaca who has dedicated his time and talent to create this beautiful truck, folk and cozy mobile store.

Here Alex is expressing his talents with his hands, many people from different countries stop by get the experience and to take a piece of art with them, I don’t see Alex just selling art and culture, I see him selling an idea of new ways to be an entrepreneur. However, Alex wants more than that! He wants to help the kids from Oaxaca with his funds and at the same time he wants to teach new generations the value and culture of handmade work and art.

I strongly suggest you follow him and if you ever have a chance to shop just know that you’re shopping for a cause!

Los fines de semana mi familia y yo solemos ir a Echo Park a caminar para disfrutar del clima, los perros y los patos locos jaja ...

He visto la tienda móvil Alebrije, pero esta vez decidí pasar y echar un vistazo rápido, me impresionó el dueño Alex Miguel Calderón, un hombre mexicano de Oaxaca que ha dedicado su tiempo y talento para crear esta hermosa truck, folklorico y acogedora tienda móvil.

Aquí Alex está expresando su talento con sus manos, muchas personas de diferentes países pasan por obtener la experiencia y llevar una obra de arte con ellos, no veo a Alex simplemente vendiendo arte y cultura, lo veo vendiendo una idea de nueva, una forma nueva de ser emprendedor. Sin embargo, Alex quiere más que eso! Quiere ayudar a los niños de Oaxaca con sus fondos y al mismo tiempo quiere enseñar a las nuevas generaciones el valor y la cultura del trabajo y el arte hechos a mano.
